Thursday, April 30, 2015 - Professor Gilles-Éric Séralini is well known for his study on rats that developed tumors after consuming genetically engineered food. In a recent interview he explains that GM corn is made with some interesting ‘side effects’ for human beings that have nothing to do with crops being sprayed with toxic glyphosate.
The same enzyme that makes GMO corn tolerant to glyphosate also indirectly decreases the levels of important amino acids that the liver and kidneys need for proper functioning. According to Seralini, “GMOs make animals seriously ill.”
From another perspective, Dr. Renae Norton, an eating disorder specialist with over 30 years of experience, has stated that she has never seen so many people in their early 20’s dealing with kidney and liver disease in her entire career.
While it is true that commonality is not necessarily causation, there are many “coincidences” surfacing that confirm the negative effects of GMOs and Glyphosate on human and animal health.
